We have an EASA Approved Training Organization (ATO) and operate a Flight Training Center in London. This year, we will open a new center in Athens, Greece. 
At Avion, we set up regional Flight Training Centers at our customer’s locations, designed to our customer’s specific needs and requirements. This substantially lowers flight crew training costs by avoiding hotel costs and daily allowances. It also reduces travel risks and improves the airline’s crew productivity. More importantly, we deliver an ultimate training experience that excites even the most seasoned pilots in the world.

About the job

Avion is looking for a Maintenance Engineer for our Flight Training Center in London Luton Airport.


• Together with the team maintains the quality and availability of the simulator in line with CAA UK and EASA standards.
• Liaises with the customer before and after training sessions and ensures (technical) logs are completed.
• Repairs (minor) faults or liaises with Service Management to start follow-up service for the replacement of faulty components. Reacts quickly and decisively to restore failed equipment to minimize downtime and lost training.
• Runs QTG tests according to the declared schedules.
• Responsible for maintaining the on-site spare part stock and aligning with Service Management and Engineering for updates on spare part stock and system upgrades or improvements.
• First point of customer contact. Maintains the proper look and feel of the building.

Required Skills and Experience

• Background in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Hands-on experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of aircraft, specifically the Airbus A320-family
• Previous experience in flight training
• Affinity with aviation or simulation
